Kaetram v2.5.0


Hello everyone, it has been quite some time since our last post on itch.io. We've been working hard to update the game and have made an enormous amount of changes over the years. The game is on a fast track towards the official beta release. This dev log contains not only the change-log for version 2.5.0, but a couple of the previous change-logs merged into one.

Version 2.3.3 (January 21st, 2023):

- Mining skill

- Drop tables (mobs now roll through a drop table) 

- Magic is now publicly available

 - Added support for in-game special ranks 

- Added new quests, bosses, weapons, rings, pendants, and areas 

- Fixes to disconnection issues due to high-latency 

- Fixes and updates to multiple interfaces

 - Improvements to clicking moving mobs and ranged combat

 - Combat formula and defense stats of mobs updated 

- Support for multiple game worlds now completed


Version 2.3.4 (January 26th, 2023):


- Added arrows to archery 

- Added boots 

- Added following functionality 

- Right-click interaction with mobs and items 

- Zooming now available on mobile 

- Fixes player stuck online bug 

- Fixes bug where items would disappear when unequipping 

- Fixes and improvements to the user interface

Version 2.4.0 (February 23rd, 2023):

- Added Defense skill

 - Added combat attack styles

Version 2.5.0 (April 19th, 2023):

- Added 8 new skills

- Added new quests/achievements/areas/mobs/bosses 

- Added new arrows - Added a crafting system that is used for new skills 

- Added hovering silhouette and hurt sprites 

- Added map parsing tile property for obstructing tiles

- Added special events in the weekend (double drops, 1.5x exp, double harvesting, and more)

 - Increased container size for inventory and bank

 - Reorganized the UI such that buttons do not affect mobile experience 

- Fixed leaderboards not updating 

- Fixes a bug where the death animation would hang 

- Fixes a minor bug where the idle animation would interrupt the walking animation

 - Fixes bug where status effects would not clear properly
